The Duke of Richmond Hotel are looking for a passionate Commis Chef to join their kitchen team.

Overlooking Cambridge Park and St Peter Port harbour, The Duke of Richmond Hotel boasts a perfect location on the beautiful island of Guernsey, with easy access to the nearby finance and shopping areas. 

Extensively refurbished and reopened in May 2012 as part of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection, The Duke of Richmond Hotel offers 71 luxuriously appointed air-conditioned rooms, many with outstanding sea views. 

Key responsibilities of the Commis Chef will include:

  • Assisting in all sections and preparing all dishes to the required standard and specification
  • Ensuring that all kitchen stations are kept clean, safe and hygienic at all times
  • Minimising wastage at all times

The ideal candidate for the Commis Chef position should:

  • Have NVQ Level 1 and 2 or equivalent
  • Have a good health & safety and food hygiene awareness
  • Communicate effectively in English
  • Have a positive, proactive, reliable and flexible attitude
